Kingdee certified as Zambia’s 1st smart invoice vendor

Recently, with the approval of the Zambia Revenue Authority (hereinafter referred to as “Zambia”), Chilanka, a subsidiary of Huaxin Cement, successfully passed the certification for the country’s first batch of smart invoice systems. As the exclusive service provider in this field, Kingdee has also become one of the first certified vendors for smart invoice systems in Zambia.
Founded in 1907, Huaxin Cement is regarded as the “cradle of China’s cement industry.” Over the past 25 years, the company has transformed from a local cement plant into a multinational giant in the building materials industry. Currently, Huaxin Cement’s business scope encompasses cement, concrete, aggregates, environmental protection, equipment manufacturing, and advanced building materials. Huaxin Cement and Kingdee have successfully cooperated for over 20 years, seamlessly integrating their business systems based on Kingdee Cloud Galaxy products to implement their global development strategy. Currently, Kingdee’s product solutions have been successfully implemented in 10 overseas factories of Huaxin Cement, including the Chilanka factory.
Huaxin Cement Chilanka Company is Zambia’s leading supplier of building materials and construction solutions. With cement plants in Chilanga and Ndola, the company was acquired by Huaxin in 2021, underwent technological upgrades, and officially became Huaxin’s overseas subsidiary.
Previously, Chilanka Cement relied on manual tax filing, which resulted in issues such as inaccurate and untimely tax declarations. To synchronize tax data with the local tax authority’s platform in real time, reduce the complexity of manual filings, and enhance tax operation efficiency, Huaxin Chilanka initiated the integration and certification of an intelligent invoice system in March 2024. During this process, Huaxin worked closely with the Kingdee team to overcome language and cultural barriers, addressing challenges such as technical debugging, data integration, and tax policy adaptation. In May, the company achieved milestone certification and received approval from the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to use the Kingdee system. Subsequently, the Huaxin Chilanka team maintained monthly communication with the ZRA and headquarters to resolve critical issues in data interaction between the two systems. Ultimately, the company received the ZRA’s certification approval for intelligent invoicing.
