Vietnam in May — gentle sunlight, a soothing breeze, Kingdee partnered with the Shenzhen Belt and Road Institute to lead a delegation of outstanding entrepreneurs from 21 ecosystem partner companies. Together, we embarked on an exploratory journey bridging the future and reality in Vietnam.

This was more than an intensive business expedition—it was an alignment of beliefs and consensus. A gathering of like-minded leaders seeking insights into global market trends and crafting their collective response.

Into Vietnam’s Innovation Center —Decoding Strategic Vision behind Policy Design

In Hanoi, we visited the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) – the Vietnamese government pushes for national modernization, industrial transformation, and technological advancement.During the exchange session, Mr. Đỗ Tiến Thịnh, Deputy Director of NIC, personally welcomed our delegation and engaged in an in-depth dialogue with us.

We were joined by senior officials from the Ministry of Finance’s Foreign Investment Agency and representative from the Institute for Green and Digital Transformation.We engaged in substantive exchanges on Vietnam’s FDI attraction, digital economy transition, and sustainable development frameworks.

Officials detailed Vietnam’s “Green-Digital” dual transformation strategy, including new industry incentives and international cooperation mechanisms. They expressed particular interest in deeper collaboration with Chinese digital leaders like Kingdee, recognizing our proven expertise in enterprise transformation.

Zhou Yingsheng, Xue Feng, VP of Kingdee China, Zhong Wei Director of Partnership came away convinced: Vietnam is transitioning from being seen as just a manufacturing alternative to becoming a pioneering new Asian economy. Vietnam is no longer a synonym for low-cost labor, but an emerging innovation hub brimming with potential.

Into the Industrial Heartland – Decoding the Ecosystem of Vietnam’s Industrial Parks

Our delegation gained firsthand insights into Vietnam’s manufacturing sector through visits to key industrial players. At TASECOLAND, a prominent Chinese manufacturer operating in Vietnam, executives shared valuable operational experiences – from navigating local policies to managing workforce dynamics. These real-world perspectives offered practical understanding of Vietnam’s business environment beyond theoretical analyses.

We continued our journey with site inspections at Que. Vo and Van Trung Industrial Parks, showcasing Vietnam’s strategic approach to industrial development. Each park demonstrated distinct competitive advantages, whether through specialized sector focus or superior infrastructure, reflecting Vietnam’s systematic efforts to attract advanced manufacturing investments. Notably, park operators expressed particular interest in adopting Kingdee’s digital management solutions, recognizing their potential to elevate operational efficiency for tenant companies.

These interactions revealed Vietnam’s industrial transformation – moving beyond low-cost production to build sophisticated manufacturing ecosystems. The growing appetite for digital transformation expertise, especially proven solutions like Kingdee’s platforms, signals new opportunities for Chinese firms to contribute to Vietnam’s next-phase industrial development.

Beyond Factories: Discovering Vietnam’s Society

Beyond official meetings, we explored Vietnam’s vibrant streets – where French colonial architecture stands beside Buddhist pagodas, Korean pop songs played in cafés, and markets where Chinese and Vietnamese languages intermingle. This organic blending of influences makes Vietnam a unique case study in globalization.

Vietnam’s younger generation is well-educated with high English proficiency, combining ambitious drive with practical action. They maintain the warmth and resilience of local culture while demonstrating strong understanding of and alignment with international business norms. This represents a uniquely “Gen Z market” that awaits Chinese enterprises to cultivate and develop.

Bridging Borders, Partnering for Global Growth
