CAPITAL CEO Appointed Toa Charm as IT Management Column Writer
 

CAPITAL CEO, one of the top business magazines in Asia, invited Mr Toa Charm, the General Manager of Asia Pacific, Kingdee International Software Group, to contribute his management experience on their Information Technology column.

Mr Charm is currently the General Manager of Kingdee Asia Pacific. His mission is to extend Kingdee's success and leadership in the enterprise software market in China to the Asia Pacific region and the rest of the world. Kingdee is committed to becoming one of the Top Ten applications software vendors in the world by 2010. Charm is a veteran in the software industry with over 17 years of management experience in enterprise software market. Before Charm joined Kingdee, he was the Managing Director of Greater China of the NASDAQ-listed Hyperion Solutions and in charge of the business and operation for Hyperion in the Greater China region, including Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Macao. Mr Charm is a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council China Trade Advisory Board. Mr Charm is also an active member of many leading professional and business associations in Asia Pacific, such as Hong Kong Management Association, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Computer Society, and Hong Kong Information and Software Industry Association.

Mr Charm is a popular speaker in Asia Pacific universities, such as Open University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, City Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, etc. and professional associations in Hong Kong, such as Hong Kong Computer Society, ACCA, etc., on IT, management and leadership related subjects. He is also an IT and management column writer for the monthly Hong Kong-based magazine "Capital CEO". Mr Charm often shares his experience on management and leadership, internationalization and IT applications on different industries with local and foreign media, such as, CNN, CNBC, SCMP, China Daily, Economic Daily, Ming Pao Daily, Sing Tao Daily, Hong Kong Computerworld. Mr. Charm gained his MBA and B. Sc. in Computer Science degrees from the University of Iowa and Minnesota State University in the United States respectively. He had also completed Outward Bound, Boy Scout and Life Saving training.
